Founders Promotion: Only 6 Seats Left to Lock In Lifetime KDP AI Book Maker Pricing

Quick update for anyone who's been on the fence: as of today, only 6 founder seats remain in the KDP AI Book Maker founders program. We capped the cohort at 200 when we launched the promotion, and the last 194 went faster than we expected. Once these six are claimed, the founders door closes — for good.

If you've never seen the offer in detail, here's what each remaining seat locks in.

What a founder seat actually includes

  • Today's price, locked for life. Whatever Starter, Plus, or Pro costs you the day you join is what your card gets billed every month or year going forward. When the public price goes up — and it will — your rate doesn't move.
  • Every future feature, no upgrade prompts. Audiobook studio, translation studio, comic book studio, new export formats, new AI models — founders get them all bundled. No "upgrade your plan to unlock" walls, ever.
  • Founder-only perks. Direct email access to the founder, monthly KDP teardown calls, a permanent gold "Founder" badge on your account, and first dibs on every closed beta.
  • Grandfathered through every pricing reset. When we restructure tiers next year, founders stay on the original plan structure — none of the new metering, none of the new seat limits.

Why we're capping it at 200

Two reasons. First, the perks aren't sustainable at scale — monthly KDP calls and direct founder access only work with a small group. Second, every founder represents a lifetime price freeze on our side, which means we need a hard ceiling before the unit economics get awkward in year three or four.

200 was the number where we could comfortably honour every promise without it eating the company. We're not going to extend the cap, run a "second wave," or quietly add seats later — once 6 turns to 0, that's it.

Who this is genuinely for

Founder pricing makes sense if you fit at least one of these:

  • You publish on KDP regularly (or plan to in the next 6 months) and want the cheapest long-term cost basis on the tool you'll be using anyway.
  • You're building a catalog — 20, 50, 100+ books — and the monthly tool spend is a real line item you'd like to freeze.
  • You want early access to the modules we haven't shipped yet (audiobooks and translations are next).
  • You want a direct line to the team — email the founder and we respond.

It does not make sense if you're not sure whether you'll publish at all this year. The standard monthly plan is fine for tire-kicking.

How to claim one of the last six

Head to the founder pricing page, pick a tier, and check out. The seat counter on that page is live — if it says 0, you missed it. If it still says a single-digit number, you're in.

We'll send a short confirmation email with your founder badge details within a few minutes of checkout. That's it. No onboarding call required, no contract — just the same flow as any other subscription, with the price-for-life clause attached.

One honest note

We don't run fake scarcity. The 200 number is real, it's been counting down on the banner for weeks, and the moment the sixth seat goes the page flips to "Founders program closed." If you've been meaning to grab one, today is genuinely the last realistic chance.

Either way — founder or not — thanks for being here while we build this thing. The next round of features (audiobook studio first) ships before the end of the quarter, and founders will get them on day one.
