1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account data — your email address, display name and (if you sign in with Google) your basic Google profile.
- Plan & billing data — your current plan tier and, for paid plans, billing identifiers handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
- Generation data — the prompts, outlines, chapters, covers and series memory you create. These may be sent to our AI providers strictly to fulfil your generation requests.
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed and basic event logs used for security and product improvement.
- Cookies and local storage — used to keep you signed in and to remember free-trial usage limits.
2. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
- To process your generation requests via AI providers.
- To authenticate you, manage your plan and process payments.
- To send transactional emails (account, billing, security).
- To detect, prevent and respond to fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the contents of your prompts or generated books to train third-party foundation models.
3. AI processing
To generate outlines, chapters and covers, we send the relevant prompt and context to AI model providers. These providers process the data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations. Generated outputs are returned to you and stored only for the duration of your session unless you explicitly save them to your account.
5. Data retention
We keep account and billing data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Free-trial generation data is stored only in your browser session. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Your rights below).
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, scoped access controls and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kdpaibookmaker.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. International transfers
We operate globally and may process your data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
