Frequently asked questions
What file formats does the exporter produce?
Three: PDF (print-ready PDF/X-3 at 300 DPI with KDP bleed and embedded fonts), EPUB 3 (validated, with clickable TOC), and DOCX (editable in Word, Pages, Vellum, or Atticus). Every book gets all three from the same source — no re-formatting needed.
Will the PDF actually pass KDP's automated check?
Yes — that's the entire point of the pre-flight step. Bleed is exactly 0.125 inches, all fonts are embedded, images are 300 DPI minimum, and the trim matches what you selected. We test against the same validation rules Amazon's uploader uses.
Can I export a wraparound cover with the manuscript?
Yes. If you used the AI Cover Designer, the wraparound cover (front + spine + back) exports as its own print-ready PDF alongside the interior — both files sized correctly for your trim and page count.
What about hardcover trim sizes?
Fully supported. Hardcover uses slightly different spine math and gutter requirements than paperback — the exporter detects which format you selected and applies the right specs automatically.
